Evidence of the $50k Grants to Green Award Takes Shape Around ITC Campus
Earlier this year, ITC was awarded a $50,000 Grants to Green Award from the Southface Energy Institute in conjunction with The Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta and Enterprise Community Partners.
Grants to Green provides environmentally focused knowledge and funding to strengthen nonprofits. This partnership gives metro Atlanta nonprofits the opportunity to renovate or build healthier work places that are energy and water efficient and environmentally efficient. The ultimate goal of this award is to improve the institution’s building structure to not only have less of an environmental impact, but also to increase the cost-efficiency of operations ideally, saving more finances to provide more services.
In addition to the new Air Conditioning and Heating unit currently being installed, ITC has undertaken other programs in accordance with our Strategic Plan. ITC is currently recycling paper products through the SP Recycling Corporation. Not only will SP Recycling collect our recycled papers, but they will pay us quarterly for the tonnage collected! This initiative also helps with ITC’s fundraising efforts. Stay tuned for more information about our efforts to “Green” the ITC!
